About the Role:
- Performs a variety of clinical responsibilities to assist in the examination and treatment of patients. Works proactively and in partnership with other staff contributing to effective operations and positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides assistance and preparation prior to and during examination by health care providers.
- Prepares examination/treatment rooms for patients.
- Interviews patients for nature of visit and takes vital signs.
- Prepares and assists health care provider during examination and procedures
Requirements:
- Education: High School diploma/GED preferred, Completion of Medical Assistant curriculum or equivalent
- Certification: American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR
- Experience: Prior medical assistant experience REQUIRED. New grads cannot be considered for this role. Pediatric experience preferred.
Position floats throughout all Pediatric clinics. The majority of the time will be spent in our Greenspring Pediatrics clinic. Locations include Sinai Hospital, Quarry Lake Greenspring and Loch Raven.
