American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of outpatient experience and a current BLS certification.
Responsibilities- Outpatient orthopedic setting specializing in postoperative joint replacement, rotator cuff repair, mild neurological conditions, and geriatric patients
- Typical shifts are Monday through Friday, 8 or 10 hours per day with possible early starts at 7am or late days until 6pm
- Patient caseload is typically 10–12 per day for 8-hour shifts, aligned with common outpatient standards
- Uses transfer equipment such as Sara Steady and Hoyer lifts
- No on-call, weekend, or overtime shifts
- Workspace dress code requires pewter gray scrubs
- Performs patient evaluation, develops individualized treatment plans, and implements interventions tailored to patient needs and diagnoses
- Collaborates closely with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to achieve optimal functional outcomes
- Educates patients and caregivers on safe practices, discharge plans, and use of assistive equipment
- Pass/fail EKG testing required on first day with two attempts allowed; study guides provided
- Every other holiday required for shift coverage
- Shares responsibility for work environment upkeep and participates in process improvement initiatives
- Position will not accept local candidates within the 50-mile radius
- Active Physical Therapist license in the State of Ohio required if applicable
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1 year recent outpatient physical therapy experience required
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program with at least a Bachelor’s degree; Doctorate preferred
- CPR certification must be maintained and current
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
