About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in Wound Care for a locum tenens position in Connecticut. This 34-day assignment begins on 08/04/2025, and involves providing advanced wound care services in a home care setting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing wounds lingering for 4 weeks or more, performing debridements, and utilizing advanced healing treatments such as UltraMist and cellular tissue therapies. The schedule is flexible, typically covering two 10-hour days per week (7am-5pm), with the potential to add a third day depending on referrals. This role requires travel to patients' residences and expertise in using UltraMist Wands and various skin graft techniques.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide advanced wound care services in patients' homes

• Manage complex wounds that have been lingering for 4 weeks or more

• Perform debridements as needed

• Administer UltraMist and cellular tissue advanced healing treatments

• Apply various skin grafts, including fish skin, placenta, and lab-grown options

• Travel to multiple residences within the assigned service region

• Utilize WoundExpert electronic health record system

• Adapt to a flexible schedule based on patient referrals

Additional Information:

• Connecticut license required

• Experience with UltraMist Wands and advanced skin grafting techniques highly preferred

• Possibility of assignment extension
