Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry night shift position requiring a MO or compact RN license and telemetry rhythm interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in the Telemetry unit of an acute care hospital
• Night shifts, working 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Patient assignment ratio is 1:5-6
• Telemetry monitoring with cardiac medication and drips (no titration)
• Use of Epic EMR
• Required to work six weekend shifts within a six week period
• Floating within scope expected to meet hospital needs
• No on-call required
• Responsibilities include monitoring telemetry patients, administering cardiac medications, and working with drips (no titration)
• Must be prepared to float within service line or to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed per 13 week contract; no RTO allowed during first week of assignment
• Must be willing to cover holiday shifts as assigned
• Permanent former employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Assignment includes completion of pre-start modules and applicable fit testing
• Adherence to hospital policies for dress code, hygiene, and footwear is required

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years recent telemetry RN experience
• Experience with reading telemetry rhythms required
• Certifications required: BCLS and NIHSS; ACLS and CPI preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred or required for some units
• First-time travelers accepted
• No local candidates within a 75 mile radius
• No artificial or nail enhancements permitted; must wear navy scrubs
