Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 26-week position in a skilled nursing and inpatient setting, requiring BLS and Hawaii licensure.
Responsibilities
- Position is based in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) and inpatient setting, with some outpatient responsibilities
- Work schedule is a 5-day work week with possible 1 weekend day, providing variable coverage between Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday
- Department provides coverage 7 days per week; candidate must be able to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Uses Meditech for electronic medical records
- Primary responsibilities include diagnostic assessment, preparing and implementing treatment plans, and providing therapy across the full range of cases for adult patients
- Role may involve providing all therapy services for a unit, center, or facility as needed
- Must arrive at the designated facility the Friday before assignment start for employee health and HR clearance appointments
- All compliance documentation must be completed and uploaded at least one week before the start date
- Candidate should be available for shifts as scheduled due to the 24/7 nature of services
- Holiday and weekend coverage may be required based on hospital operations
Requirements
- Current BLS certification required
- Must have or obtain Hawaii Physical Therapy license by assignment start date (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 6 months of work experience in at least one setting with adults: acute, SNF, rehabilitation hospital, or outpatient
- Must bring required licensure to employee health and HR clearance appointment
