Our longtime client in Pittsfield, MA - North Berkshire area is seeking a physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join their expanding surgical team! Recent graduates and candidates with experience will be considered. You will be working closely with the Chair of Surgery.
This contract is currently set to continue through the end of 2022 with the possibility of extension - if you're looking for the storybook, New England experience, this location is for you!
Responsibilities:
- Preferred schedule 7a-3:30 clinic - 3:30p-7a call overnights on Weekdays
- 3:30p-7a weekdays. 7a-7a Weekends (call ratio is variable)
- Surgical first-assist role
- EMR: Meditech Level 3 Trauma
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Gynecology, Urology, robotics experience preferred
- Ability to obtain a Massachusetts Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License (required)
- Ability to build rapport with new and existing patients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
- MUST have experience as a Surgical First-Assist
- Vaccinations required to be up to date at the time of submission
