This position is for a board-certified or board-eligible Anesthesiology Physician to provide 100% hospital-based anesthesia care across various specialties including trauma, cardiac, OB, vascular, and pediatric cases. The role involves working Monday to Friday with no night or weekend calls, supporting surgeries and procedures in a Level III trauma and stroke center with 217 beds and 12 operating rooms. Required qualifications include BLS, ACLS certifications, an active Indiana medical license or IMLC participation, and at least two years of relevant experience.
Coverage Needed
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am - 3pm, No night call or weekend call

- December: 28-31
Clinical Details
- 100% hospital based
- Number of physicians in practice: 11
- Trauma: 1-2 month
- Adult: 9-10/day
- Peds: 0-2/day
- Average Surgeries per Day: Trauma: 0-1, Elective: 6-10
- The practice consists of general anesthesia, OB, vascular surgery, cath lab, healthy peds (1 year and older), occasional NORA, and basic nerve blocks
- Trauma: Level III, Stroke: Level III
- Number of Beds: 217
- Operating Rooms: 12
- ER Beds: 26
- ICU Beds: 30 (CCU 20 - ICU 10)
- Support Staff: 1 Assistant, no CRNA
- EMR: Epic
- Cardiac: The cath lab cases are both ablations and angioplasty/stents, as well as ICDs, EP studies, and atrial appendage occlusion devices
- Primarily need interscalene blocks with occasional popliteal and supraclavicular blocks
- OB Volume: Occasionally will be called to do a labor epidural and/or c-section
- Maybe once or twice a week but never more than four to five times a week
- Pediatric ENT with the occasional urological and orthopedic case
Requirements
- Required Scope of Practice or Procedures: Healthy pediatrics down to 6 months of age, Major vascular/interventional vascular including AAA repair, Cardiac Cath lab cases, OB, Trauma, Regional Anesthesia/Peripheral nerve blocks
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (5-yr from training)
- BLS, ACLS (AHA issued)
- Procedure Logs: most recent 24-months
- Active IN License or IMLC
- Minimum Years Experience: More than 2 years
- Flu & Covid vaccinations: Required or Need Medical or religious exemption
- Available to cover all 3 blocks listed
