Job Details:
• Work varied schedule assignment providing medical-surgical nursing care
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies
• Care for patients of all ages including pediatric patients when needed
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS required, PALS strongly suggested
• Current valid RN license in state of practice required
• Minimum one year experience in acute care hospital setting required
• Experience must include working in acute care setting within past 12 months as RN in specialty area
• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care including discharge planning
• Delegate appropriately and provide nursing supervision to other personnel
• Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in patient records
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members
• Provide patient and family education and evaluate effectiveness
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics
• Requires adequate hearing, visual acuity, fine motor skills and eye-hand coordination
• Must maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations
