Examinations primarily involve interviews with patients, supplemented by physical assessments such as range of motion testing and muscle strength testing, focusing on evaluating Traumatic Brain Injury and General Medicine conditions. The role does not involve prescribing or treatment, solely focusing on diagnostic assessments. DMA certification is available for providers to obtain CME credits, with training provided once privileged if not already certified. Utilization of a Goniometer is required for accurate assessments. Proficiency in evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions, as well as familiarity with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio, is essential. Providers must have their personal laptop (NO Apple Laptops/MACs) for documentation purposes. Training will be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs), with reports required to be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion through VES's provider portal.
