Pathology Physician Locum Tenens Pursglove, West Virginia Acute Care Hospital A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Pathology Physician to join a collaborative team at a 70-bed acute care hospital in Pursglove, WV. Position Details Start Date: November 3, 2025 Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Call: Full-time coverage, primarily Blood Bank Shift: Daytime, 8-hour shifts Contract: Ongoing assignment Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive pathology services in a hospital setting Review and interpret frozen sections and cytology (urines, bronchial washes/brushes, pleural and ascitic fluids) Collaborate with histotechs and lab staff to ensure high-quality diagnostics Provide timely consults during call, with emphasis on Blood Bank needs Qualifications Board Certification in Pathology Active WV medical license (IMLC or temporary license considered) DEA registration BLS and ACLS certifications Minimum of 1 year of pathology experience Facility Highlights Hospital Type: Acute Care, Level IV Trauma Beds: 70 EMR: Cerner / Paragon Support: Two full-time histotechs, collaboration with LabCorp for IHC Patients: Primarily adults, occasional pediatrics Credentialing: 60 days We invite you to bring your expertise in pathology to our dedicated team, where you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to our community.
