American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring Level I trauma and robotic surgery expertise.
Responsibilities- Position is based in a hospital Operating Room with exposure to trauma cases
- Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30
- Weekend coverage includes 3-4 shifts within a 6 week period, which may be days, evenings, or nights
- Call required 2-3 times in a 6 week matrix with a 30-minute response time
- May be required to float to other units as needed
- Robotic cases utilize the Davinci xi and DV5 systems; proficiency is required
- Operates within multiple specialties including robotics, orthopedics, general, GYN, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, thoracic (excluding cardiac and open heart), and trauma
- Uses Epic for charting; Epic experience is preferred
- Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing for advanced surgical procedures across a broad range of specialties
- May provide care for COVID patients
- Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
- Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract
- Holiday coverage required as assigned, including possible days, evenings, or nights
- Pre-employment modules must be completed prior to start
- Local candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local pay rates may apply
- Travel pairs are accepted, but matched schedules are not guaranteed
- Active PA or compact RN license with no disciplinary actions
- Minimum of 3 years RN experience in the Operating Room required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- At least 1 year Level II trauma experience required, Level I trauma experience preferred
- Proficiency in both scrubbing and circulating roles is preferred
- Proficient with Davinci xi robot required; DV5 Davinci robot experience is a plus
- Must be able to work independently without need for refresher training in robotic general, GYN, thoracic, and urology specialties
- AHA or ARC certifications required
- Candidates must be able to provide 2 professional references from supervisors within the past 2 years
