The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) provides anesthesia services for a wide range of surgical procedures in a Level 2 trauma center with advanced surgical suites. The role involves working varied shift lengths, collaborating with anesthesia providers, ensuring patient safety, and contributing to education of staff and residents. Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Nurse Anesthesia, be board certified, and possess strong clinical and communication skills.
Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our dedicated Anesthesia Services Team in Muskegon, Michigan. This state-of-the-art facility is designated as a Level 2 trauma center and boasts 20 operating rooms, 5 heart and vascular rooms, 6 endoscopy rooms, and 2 c-section suites. Our CRNA will be involved in a general and complex range of cases including orthopedic, GI, gynecology, ENT, complex vascular, neurosurgery, interventional cardiology, and more. Job Responsibilities:- Provide anesthesia services for a variety of surgical procedures.
- Work in a mixed schedule of 8, 10, 12, and 16-hour shifts.
- Collaborate with a professional team of anesthesia providers.
- Ensure a safe and effective anesthetic experience for all surgical patients.
- Participate in case discussions, including complex cardiothoracic and robotics cases.
- Contribute to the educational training of nursing staff and residents when necessary.
- Master's degree in Nurse Anesthesia or equivalent.
- Experience in anesthesia practice preferred, but new graduates will be considered.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of anesthesia protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Board Certified NBCRNA (required by time of start).
- Current Michigan Nursing License (or willing to obtain).
- DEA Verbal Confirmation (or willing to obtain).
- ACLS and BLS certifications (or willing to obtain).
