Location: Northeast Alabama Situated in a tree-lined valley of the Appalachian foothills, this city has many recreational opportunities, including bicycling, fishing, camping, and golfing. It is also home to the areas Museum of Natural History, the local Museum of World History and the largest Episcopal Church. The nearest airport is Birmingham AL which is 45-50 miles from the community. The area has four distinct seasons to include long warm , humid summers, and mild winters . A lower than average crime rate, low cost of living, and superior public and private schools make this an outstanding place to raise a family!
Excellent position for a well-motivated, BC/BE OB/GYN MD/DO. 2024/2025 Grads and experienced candidates are welcome to apply. This is a well-established (25 years) hospital employed position (first year), with then rolling into a private practice model. This is a succession position due to senior partner planning to retire. The schedule is full time, however flexible scheduling is available. The supporting hospital delivers 2,100+ babies per year. The facility has 10 L&D rooms, and 20 Post Partum rooms. 3 OB OR s next to L&D. No NICU. Paragon EMR system is in place. The catchment area is 250,000 people. Call is 1 in 10, it will be 1 in 11 or 12 with 2 new hires. There are no CNM s in the practice. Some APP s are within the practices but no supervision year 1. DaVinci Robotic Surgery system is available.
A competitive salary compensation model is offered. 1 year guaranteed salary then a salary roll into private practice model. Income guarantee of $325,000.00. A sign on bonus of $35,000.% at signing and 50% at start. Other benefits are negotiable.
