TemPositions is pleased to partner with a long-standing, mission-driven nonprofit association based in Midtown Manhattan. This organization is part of a historic international humanitarian and faith-based network dedicated to serving the poor, the sick, and vulnerable communities through charitable, medical, and social initiatives in the U.S. and around the world.
They are seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant to support their finance team during a particularly busy period. This is a four-month contract role with strong potential to convert to a permanent position for the right fit.
Schedule & Location
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite, work from home on Fridays
- Midtown Manhattan office
Pay Rate
- $40–$42 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Assistant Controller with a high volume backlog of accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Perform accurate and timely data entry
- Enter and maintain financial and donor information in Donor Builder software
- Work within Sage accounting software
- Assist with general accounting and administrative tasks as needed during peak season
Qualifications
- Prior experience with Sage accounting software required
- Strong accounts receivable and accounts payable experience
- High attention to detail and comfort working with data entry
- Ability to manage deadlines during a high-volume period
- Experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization is a plus
