About the Facility - Uintah and Ouray Health Center
Leave the hazards of urban life behind and apply your skills to a wide scope of health care. This ambulatory 40-hour facility is staffed by physicians, physician's assistants, nurse practitioners, and dental, optometry, and psychology providers. They provide comprehensive public health services including general medical, surgical follow-up, pediatric, prenatal and postpartum care. Dental, behavioral health, and optometry services are also available. Other clinical specialties are provided by visiting consultants and are scheduled periodically. Patients requiring more complex medical care are referred to the hospital or other contract facilities.

Physician Rheumatology - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)

• The rheumatologist physician shall interview and examine patients, review past medical history, and request and slash or perform diagnostic tests and examinations deemed necessary to obtain all possible information related to each case. Will provide definitive management for rheumatologic outpatient practice within the limitations of the clinic.
• Shall conduct outpatient clinics making observations appropriate to the outpatients underlying disease and treatment plan including current symptoms. Review the patient's medication diet therapy course adherence to management plan and patient observations modify regiment as indicated. And struck and counseled patience and family members as required and does so in a culturally sensitive manner.
• The rheumatologist shall refer patients to appropriate contract in medical facilities, providing full clinical information for care and diagnostic procedures that cannot be adequately provided at the Uintah ad Ouray Service Unit.
• Shall assure preparation of appropriate medical records for all patients seen to assure the accumulation and organization of all pertinent clinical data needed to provide comprehensive medical care.
• Will work closely with allied health professionals to utilize and coordinate the services of other health care professionals in the management of the patient's medical, psychological and social problems.
• Will provide prenatal care to expectant patients.
• Will efficiently navigate via electronic Medical record for a prescribing, documentation, and orders including referrals in compliance.
• Will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and diagnostics normally performed by a rheumatologist.

Rheumatologist Physician - REQUIREMENTS

• Experience: Must have a minimum of two years' experience as a Rheumatologist.
• Certification: Board certification is preferred within Rheumatology.
• Education: Minimum education is a doctorate degree in Osteopathy or Allopathic medicine, along with completion of an internal medicine residency program, as well as a fellowship completed in rheumatology.
• Licensure: The physician must have an active, unrestricted, and free of disciplinary action license as a physician in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.
