Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Surg/Oncology travel position requiring an active KS or compact license and recent specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a combined Oncology and General Surgery unit within a hospital setting
• Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week travel contract assignment
• Assignment is on the 8T Oncology and General Surgery unit
• No local candidates accepted; must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Chemo certification is required for RNs working Oncology cases
• Responsibilities include providing care for oncology and post-surgical patients
• Applicants with prior gaps in recent work history will not be considered

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Med Surg or Oncology nursing
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the last 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• Professional reference required (two if from FL or MO; otherwise one)
