• There is a local 10-physician primary care network to supply patient referrals.
• This expansive service area of Southwest Virginia and Southeastern Kentucky holds huge potential.
• Goal is to find a general surgeon who shares the same philosophy as the Medical Group in being able to accommodate patients at home and not transfer them out of the area for their care.
• The hospital has expressed a large amount of flexibility to fit the needs of the new physician.
• If board-eligible, board certification must be completed within five years of completion of residency for all candidates.
