- Experience in wound care and advanced procedures (debridement, grafts)
- Ability to order/interpret tests and coordinate with PCPs/specialists
- Eligible for hospital occurrence-based malpractice coverage
Full description
Medical Center is seeking Wound Care physician to join a team composed of board-certified general and vascular surgeons, APP's, and a strong support staff.
- Interested candidates should be Board Certified in Surgery, Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Monday?Friday daytime schedule
- No weekends
- No call responsibilities
- All hospital-based outpatient practice
- Candidate would work in partnership with other hospital service lines, including:Critical care, Primary care, Vascular surgery, General surgery, Hospitalist group, Emergency department, Burn Treatment Center, Infectious disease, Orthopedics, Cardiology
- Evaluate and treat new patients and follow-up patients for Wound Care services.
- Order testing and lab that is needed to evaluate the patient's wound and underlying conditions
- Interpret all test results ordered
- Communicate with the patients' PCPs and specialists as needed
- Communicate with patients and family members with regard to the patients throughout their treatment plans
- Provide referrals to other healthcare providers as needed
- Perform advanced modalities and procedures as patient care requires. (debridement, grafts, etc.)
- Document services in a timely and accurate manner
