3x12.0, with a D/E/N rotation, including holidays, on-call, and callback responsibilities.

Job Description

The Neuro Medicine ICU is a Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit focused primarily on critically ill neuro patients requiring specialized nursing and medical care. Patient diagnoses include traumatic brain injury, aneurysm, status epilepticus, stroke, and other critical neurologic pathologies. This is a brand new state-of-the-art, 12-bed ICU.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill neuro patients.
• Utilize strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills in patient management.
• Remain current in the knowledge of critical care practices and protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• New York RN License (required)
• Two (2) years of RN experience in an ICU or acute care setting (required)
• Telemetry experience (required)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (required)
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (required)
