Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in metal processing, is seeking a Machine Operator to join their team. As a Machine Operator, you will be part of the production department supporting metal processing operations. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Machine Operator
Location: Forest, MS
Pay Range: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
What's the Job?
- Prepare and configure metal processing machinery such as shears, presses, rollers, and CNC equipment according to production specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to ensure accurate setup.
- Select and install appropriate dies, fixtures, and tooling for various production runs.
- Perform test runs and make adjustments to optimize machine performance and product quality.
- Monitor machine operation during production, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine inspections and quality checks on finished products.
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or metal processing environment.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
