• Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive emergency and urgent care services to adult and pediatric patients.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations, develop treatment plans, and order necessary diagnostics.
  • Perform essential procedures as needed within your scope of practice.
  • Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, including nurses and other healthcare professionals, to optimize patient care.
  • Admit patients for further evaluation or treatment when necessary.
  • Function as the house physician during the day, rounding on inpatients and managing their care needs.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Epic EMR system.

• Qualifications for Success:

  • Board certification in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) with extensive experience in emergency medicine and hospital medicine.
  • Valid Missouri medical license to practice medicine without restrictions.
  • Current certifications in ACLS, PALS, and ATLS to demonstrate your commitment to patient safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions.
  • Experience managing inpatients and their complex needs is highly preferred.
