The Hematology/Oncology Physician provides outpatient care predominantly for oncology patients with a smaller hematology caseload, managing 12 to 15 patients daily. The role requires board certification, a NY State medical license, and experience with bone marrow procedures is advantageous. The physician works within a collaborative team including nurse practitioners and support staff, utilizing the Epic EMR system and adhering to immunization and credentialing standards.
Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours ( 40 hours/week ) No call

Volume: 12 to 15 patients/day (varies by patient mix)
Case Mix: 80% Oncology to 20% Hematology
Hematology Scope: Includes both benign to malignant cases
Procedures/Skills: Experience with bone marrow procedures are a plus (most are handled by IR)
Board Certification: Yes, Board certification required.
License Requirements: NY State License
Team Composition: 1 MD to 1 NP onsite. Support staff includes NP to
nursing
