Job Title: Medical-Surgical Float Pool Registered Nurse (MS Float RN)
Location: Charleston, SC
Duration: 13 week
Shift:
• Nights – 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday rotation required
• Floating required to Medical-Surgical units at the Main Hospital and Ashley River Tower
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide safe and effective nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients across multiple units
Float between assigned med-surg floors based on facility staffing needs
Manage varying patient ratios depending on unit assignment and acuity
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, medication administration, and care coordination
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support quality patient outcomes
Required QualificationsActive South Carolina RN license or Compact/Multi-State RN license
Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical RN experience
Ability to work night shifts and float between med-surg units
First-time travelers accepted
Current CertificationsPreferred QualificationsPrevious float pool or multi-unit experience
Experience in a Level I Trauma or teaching hospital
Familiarity with EPIC charting
