Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Telemetry/PCU role with a minimum of 2 years' recent specialty experience and a KY or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Medical Intermediate Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
- Care for med-surg and intermediate/step-down level patients
- Night shift schedule from 6:45pm to 7:15am
- Assignment may involve multiple units including med-surg and specialty cardiac/heart & lung units
- No on-call duties are specified
- Responsibilities include providing intermediate level care and telemetry monitoring to med-surg and cardiac patients
- Collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team
- All RNs must complete required modules and training before beginning assignment
- No exceptions granted for vaccination status
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Telemetry or PCU
- Current certifications through AHA: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required; certifications must not expire in the same month as assignment start
- Must have actual NIHSS certification prior to start
- Must be fully vaccinated for Flu and COVID-19
- Completion of CPI training (may be completed onsite)
- Candidates with any license infractions are not eligible
- Must provide US Social Security Number; Canadian SSNs not accepted
- Explanation required for any work history gaps of 3 months or more
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible
