Assignment Details: Start Date: February 14, 2025 Duration: Ongoing with two-week blocks of Thursday-to-Thursday coverage. Practice Setting: Inpatient only, with 24/7 coverage and on-call responsibilities. Patient Volume: Average of 20 30 patients on the service. Support: Advanced Practice Providers (APP) available for day shift hours; no call for APPs. Hospital Capabilities: Level 1 Trauma Center with 385 licensed beds. Requirements: Board Certification: Must be certified in Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology. Licensing: Active Texas license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC). Certifications: ACLS and BLS are required. Fellowship: Completion of a Gastroenterology fellowship is necessary. Skills: Proficiency in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. Advanced procedures, including ERCP, PEG placement, and esophageal manometry. Expertise in upper and lower GI endoscopy, including biopsies, polyp excisions, and liver biopsies.
