This role is for a full-time Registered Nurse working night shifts in the Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units at Mercy Fort Smith. Nurses will care for patients preparing for or recovering from medical and surgical interventions, gaining experience across multiple specialty units. The position offers comprehensive benefits, a supportive work environment, and requires RN licensure with certifications in ACLS and BLS.

Overview:Mercy Fort Smith’s Med Surg Service Line is made up of 8 specialty units that will provide experience with patient populations with a varying range of diagnoses and care needs. Functionally, these units house and care for patients who are preparing for or recovering from medical and surgical interventions. While you will have a “home unit”, we cross-train our nurses between the various specialties to provide a strong foundational knowledge of all types of patient conditions, comorbidities, procedures, etc. Whether you are a new grad nurse looking to build a strong base before launching into your future career/educational plans or an experienced nurse who enjoys variety in their everyday work, Med Surg is the place for you!

Med Tele Details: (DEU Floor)
Bed numbers: 18 beds
Number of Patient Ratio: 4:1 & 6:1
Patient Population: Tele and Med/Surg
Qualifications:
Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
Certifications: Must have American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within probationary period. Must have ACLS and BLS or obtain within 90 days of hire.
