Required Skills:
- Board-Certification in Rheumatology
- Fellowship training in Rheumatology
- Active medical license in Michigan
- Proven proficiency with Epic EMR
- Strong clinical skills in adult and geriatric patient care
- Experience performing joint aspirations and corticosteroid injections
- Ability to manage a steady patient load effectively
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior locum or interim staffing experience
- Experience coordinating with support staff (MA, RN, Front Desk)
- Familiarity with hospital-based consults and procedures
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Completion of Rheumatology fellowship
- Minimum 3 years of post-fellowship clinical practice
- Experience in a Level 2 trauma hospital environment
Other Requirements:
- Ability to start as soon as credentialed; estimated credentialing timeframe is 90-120 days, with flexibility for a start around February/March
- Willingness to provide coverage for two weeks per month, including 24-hour hospital call
- Reimbursement considerations for travel and lodging if not local
