Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Critical Care Unit position in New York, requiring EPIC EMR experience and an active NY RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Progressive Critical Care Unit of a hospital setting
- Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Patient population includes progressive care and critical care cases
- EPIC EMR system is used and experience is required
- Floating within ICU units may be expected
- No blocked scheduling is permitted
- Competency testing must be completed prior to starting
- No local candidates accepted from specified nearby counties within a 50-mile radius
- More than three call outs in a 13-week contract may result in termination and make-up shifts are required within six weeks of the call out
- Requested time off must be submitted at the time of application
- Travel pairs are not allowed for this position
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required at the time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in progressive care or critical care required
- Certifications must be from AHA or RQI
- EPIC EMR experience is required
- Competency testing required with two attempts allowed
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number is required; Canadian SIN is not accepted
- Flu vaccination required unless a medical exemption signed by a licensed professional is provided
