Locum Tenens Hospitalist Opportunity near Pierson, MI

Position Overview:

• Practice Setting:

  • Hospital Medicine Team - 7/on-7/off Monday-Sunday, 5 rotations
  • Rotations include ICU/Telemetry, A Rounder (spine/ortho floor, telemetry overflow), B Rounder (med/surg floor), C Rounder, night shift (7p-7a).

• Dates of Coverage:

  • Multiple blocks available: 3/25-3/31, 4/8-4/14, 4/22-4/28, 5/6-5/12, 5/20-5/26, 6/3-6/9, 6/17-6/23, 7/1-7/7
  • Potential for extension

• Schedule (Shifts and Hours):

  • ICU/TU - 6:30a-6:30p
  • A/B/C - 7a-7p
  • Night shift 7p-7a
  • Orientation: 2-3 days, 6-8 hours/day

• APP Coverage:

  • 7a-3a, assisting with admissions

• Average Number of Patients Per Day:

  • Admissions: 0-3
  • ICU: 2-3 (can vary)
  • Inpatient: 16-18

• In-House Codes Response:

  • Yes

• Number of ICU Beds:

  • 8

• Documentation System/EMR:

  • Cerner

• Trauma Level/Designation (Hospital):

  • Level 3

• Procedures/Duties Required:

  • Non-Invasive Vent Management (BiPAP/CPAP)
  • Ventilation Management
  • Intubation (ETT/INT)
  • Central Line
  • Arterial Line
  • Paracentesis
  • Thoracentesis
  • Lumbar Punctures
  • Evaluation and Management of Acute Volume/BP Issues
  • EKG Interpretation
  • Arthrocentesis
