Job Description:
Seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Advanced Heart Failure Physician to join the Advanced Heart Failure Center in Fort Myers, Florida. This is an integrated cardiology and surgical program that delivers high-quality, comprehensive care for patients across the spectrum of heart failure diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient rounding for 8-12 patients per day and outpatient care for 2-4 patients per day, averaging 15 patients daily.
- Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM in both ambulatory and inpatient settings.
- Collaborate with NP support and a multidisciplinary team including customer service representatives, medical assistants, and registered nurses.
- No procedures required.
- No on-call or weekend responsibilities.
- Expected to provide coverage once a week per month.
Qualifications:
- BC/BE in Advanced Heart Failure & Transplantation (ABIM)
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Heart Failure Fellowship
- Proficiency in managing short-term mechanical circulatory support devices, including Impella and ECMO
- 5+ years post-fellowship experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working in a large, multidisciplinary team environment
- Passion for practicing in a high-volume, growing program
