PCU Registered Nurse Job Details- Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York healthcare jobs)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 1/13/2025 – End: 4/14/2025)
- Clinical Setting: Prep & Recovery Unit (Progressive Care Unit)
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts (3 shifts/week)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1930–$2070
- Employment Type: Travel RN, W2
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (New York State or compact license)
- At least 1 year of recent experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Step-Down Unit, or acute care nursing job
- BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient care skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Prep & Recovery (PCU) setting
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, recognizing changes and responding promptly
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for patient care coordination and discharge planning
- Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
