Seeking a board-certified oncology physician for locum tenens coverage in Ohio at a Level 2 trauma hospital and free-standing cancer center. The role involves primarily outpatient oncology care with some inpatient responsibilities, including chemotherapy administration, tumor board participation, and collaboration with midlevel providers. Candidates must have or be willing to obtain an Ohio medical license and DEA registration, with BLS certification and COVID vaccination required.
Coverage Needed January 1, 2024 - Ongoing Schedule 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday 3 days at office (M-W), if FT is preferred, then Thursday and Friday would be at anothercenter Clinical Details Inpatient/Outpatient, Free-Standing Cancer Center 80% oncology, 20% hematology (midlevels handle most of the hematology) Trauma Level/Designation (Hospital): Level 2 Average Number of Patients Per Day - OUTPATIENT (Clinic/Office): 14-15 Average Number of Patients Per Day - HOSPITAL (Call/Rounding): 1-5 Requirements Board Certified Active OH License and DEA - highly preferred willing to accept candidates needing to obtain license BLS COVID Vaccination Required Duties/Procedures: Participation on a Tumor Board Orders Tests Orders Images Prescribes Blood Bank Mgmt. of Bone Marrow Transplants Call Call collaboration with midlevel providers Support Staff 3 Physicians, 3 APPs in Practice Administration of Chemotherapy: Nurse oncologist EMR EPIC
