Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians for a locum tenens opportunity in Newport, TN. This position offers short-term coverage, a flexible schedule, and competitive compensation in a Level 3 Trauma Center with a manageable patient flow.

Opportunity Details:

Location: Newport, TN
Contract Type: Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens
Start Date: September 1, 2023
Shift Schedule:
- Day Shift: 7 AM – 7 PM
- Night Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
APC Coverage:
- Sunday – Tuesday: 10 AM – 6 PM & 3 PM – 11 PM
- Wednesday – Saturday: 11 AM – 11 PM
Minimum Commitment: 18 shifts per month
Practice Setting: Physician-led Emergency Department
Facility Details:
- Annual Volume: 23,000 – 24,000 patient visits
- 16 ED Beds + Hall Beds as Needed
- Level 3 Trauma Center
- No Admitting Orders Required (Handled by hospitalists)
EMR System: Cerner
Temp Privileges: Available for clean files

Provider Requirements:

Certification: Board Certification Not Required
Licensure: Active & Unrestricted TN State License & DEA
Required Certifications: ACLS, PALS
