Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive emergency care to patients experiencing a variety of medical emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses. Conduct thorough evaluations, develop treatment plans, and order necessary diagnostics. Perform essential procedures as needed within your scope of practice. Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to optimize patient care. Stabilize and transfer patients to higher levels of trauma care when necessary. Qualifications for Success: Board certification in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM) is mandatory. Alternative board certifications are not accepted. Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS to demonstrate your commitment to patient safety. Valid Virginia medical license to practice medicine without restrictions. Current DEA registration is required.
