- Schedule:
- Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays: 8am-5pm (last patient scheduled at 3:30pm)
- Weekday call: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 4pm-8am (own patients, after hours)
- Weekend call: One weekend per month, Friday 4pm-Monday 8am (inpatient, both hospitals)
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide comprehensive care to adult hematology and oncology patients (roughly 50% each specialty)
- See 18-20 patients per day in the outpatient clinic
- Create and maintain treatment plans; write chemotherapy orders
- Oversee daily infusion center activities; be available for urgent patient evaluation during infusions
- Collaborate with on-site APPs and nursing staff
- Handle weekday after-hours call for assigned patients
- Provide inpatient call coverage one weekend per month for two hospital locations
Additional Information
- Board certification in Hematology and Medical Oncology required
- Must hold a valid OH medical license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- All patient care is for adults; no pediatric coverage
- No flexibility in weekly schedule
