Med/Surg Tele RN Night & Day Shift
LocationCleveland, OH
Assignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.
ScheduleShifts are 3x12 hours, with rotating schedules of Night (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) and Day (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM). Travelers are required to work at least every other holiday.
Job DescriptionThe Med/Surg Tele RN is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in the medical/surgical tele unit. This role involves assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities- Monitor patient vitals and ECG rhythms.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver optimal patient care.
- Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care plans.
- Document patient care and progress accurately in the charting system.
- Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele specialty.
- 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience (travel experience acceptable).
- Active Ohio RN license or compact state license required.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
- Completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate tests during orientation.
- Previous charge experience preferred.
