Position: Director of Ambulatory Care - Location: Newark, NJ - Full-time, permanent position - Group PracticeOverview: Seeking a physician leader to serve as the Director of Ambulatory Care for the Department of Medicine. This individual will oversee all departmental ambulatory practices, including Resident, Fellow, and Faculty clinics at Hospital in Newark, NJ. The ideal candidate will be ABIM board-certified in a medical specialty and hold academic credentials for a faculty appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level. Responsibilities: Provide oversight of all ambulatory care practices within the Department of Medicine Collaborate with Hospital leadership to ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness of practices Partner with Division Directors and Ambulatory Care leadership on scheduling, space assignments, and alignment of Resident and Faculty practices with the department s educational, research, and clinical missions Oversee interdisciplinary clinical and educational programs in ambulatory care Contribute to undergraduate and graduate medical education (UME and GME) through training and mentorship Foster a culture of inclusivity and excellence in patient care, research, and education Qualifications: ABIM board certification in a medical specialty Academic credentials eligible for Associate or Full Professor appointment Strong record of scholarly achievement and medical education experience Leadership experience in an academic and clinical setting Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in healthcare and education
