WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Nurse at a prestigious hospital in Albany, NY. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced emergency care team, providing high-quality patient care in a renowned medical facility. Travelers can earn up to $2,400 per week for this role.
Job Function:
- Night Shift.
- 3x12.
Prepare and administer prescribed medications via oral, subcutaneous, or intravenous routes, ensuring accurate documentation in patient records.
Monitor patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments and report findings promptly, adhering to established protocols for medication administration.
Provide comprehensive education to patients regarding surgical procedures, including preoperative and postoperative care.
Accurately record and monitor patients' medical information and vital signs, promptly identifying and addressing any deviations from normal parameters.
Operate and adjust specialized equipment used in surgical procedures, interpreting and recording electronic displays to assist in patient care.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN).
- Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain).
- 2 of experience as an Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN) in this specialty.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
