Job Description:
Locums Neurology in Mason City, IA where Inpatient/Outpatient and possible Non-burdensome night call is needed. Here are some of the details:
Start Date: February 13, 2024- Ongoing
Coverage Need/Schedule Details:
- 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off (Sun-Sat); 10-hour days (potentially 8-hour days, but TBD)
Submission Requirements:
- Board Eligible (become BC within 3 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Neurology - REQUIRED
- Active IA license or IMLC - PREFERRED
- BLS, ACLS (by time of start) - REQUIRED
- DEA (by time of start) - REQUIRED
- Teaching Internal Medicine and Family Medicine Residents and medical students- REQUIRED
Practice Description:
- Lab onsite
- X-ray on site
- EMR: Cerner
- Clinic/hospital setting
- 2-4 new patient consults per day
- 6-8 patients total daily on average (new consults and follow-ups included)
- Will Other Neurologists be Present During Locum's Assignment? Yes
- How Many Physicians in Your Group? 1
- How Many Advanced Practice Providers in Your Group? 1
- Teaching expectation (will likely have IM/FM resident accompanying them)
- 50% over age 65; 32% age 45-64; 17% age 19-44 (Pediatrics is possible but very infrequent, most common consult diagnosis is seizures)
- Take all neurology inpatient/ED/network consult requests
C ompensation for this opportunity is highly competitive at $250/hr.
