Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

• Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York healthcare jobs)
• Unit: Cardiac Stepdown Unit
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (travel nursing contract)
• Start Date: June 23, 2025
• End Date: September 22, 2025
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts (4 shifts/week)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2330 - $2500 per week
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact state (NY nursing jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Cardiac Stepdown, Telemetry, or acute care nursing
• Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records (EMR) system
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Strong clinical assessment, cardiac monitoring, and critical thinking skills

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients in a hospital setting
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status, cardiac rhythms, and progress
• Administer cardiac medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, procedures, and post-discharge care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit meetings
