Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology
Join our distinguished team as a full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner at a well-established 16-bed Level-III NICU practice located in the vibrant Charlotte suburb of Gastonia, North Carolina. This opportunity is situated within an award-winning hospital renowned for its exceptional facilities and patient care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide care for patients in our 16-suite, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
- Collaborate with a team of 2 neonatologists and 5-6 NNPs, ensuring comprehensive care for patients from Gaston and surrounding counties.
- Offer coverage for approximately 20 hours per day, working closely with neonatologists who provide in-house daytime support.
- Assist in the management of the newborn nursery.
- Engage in a practice celebrated for its architectural design, including single-room NICU and mother-baby care.
- Participate in the expansion of services, including a second hospital with a labor and delivery service in nearby Belmont, NC.
- Impact the care of approximately 320 annual NICU admissions and 1,900 births, with an average daily census of around 10.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing.
- Current APRN National Specialty Certification - Board Certified NNP.
- Minimum of 2 years of employment experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (not including RN experience).
- Strong clinical skills and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
License and Certification Requirements:
- NC license (or willing to obtain).
- DEA license (must be obtained prior to start).
