Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 18 months of recent specialty experience and valid OH or compact state RN license.
Responsibilities
- Position is located in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Rotation between day (7am-7:30pm) and night (7pm-7:30am) shifts may be required to meet operational needs
- Schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week
- Work assignment is on a 13-week contract basis
- Traveler must be willing to work at least every other holiday
- Assignment duration at any location is not to exceed 18 consecutive months, with a 6-month waiting period before re-assignment
- Qualivis – Lotus system is used for reporting hours worked
- Required to provide two professional references
- Orientation includes clinical assessments to ensure competency
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license must be in hand prior to consideration
- Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
- Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in specialty before travel assignments
- Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Must successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
