American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Illinois with Level 1 Trauma and EPIC charting experience required.
Responsibilities- Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- Level 1 Trauma facility with high-acuity patient care
- Schedule includes mids (1:00 PM – 1:00 AM) for 12-hour shifts, three days per week
- Two call shifts (13 hours each) required per 6-week schedule, with onsite response within 1 hour
- All travelers participate in a required 2-week night shift rotation
- EPIC is the EMR used and experience is required
- Conduct initial assessments and develop individualized care plans for ED patients
- Implement and adjust care plans in collaboration with physicians, patients, and families
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Promote safety for patients and staff by adhering to safety standards and incident reporting
- Travelers are responsible for covering a maximum of 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not be on continuous assignment for more than one year and must take a six-month break before returning
- Professional attire with adherence to unit dress code is required
- Travel partners are not accepted for this assignment
- Active Illinois RN license (temporary licenses accepted)
- Minimum of one year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Documented Level 1 Trauma experience
- Demonstrated EPIC charting experience
- ASN degree required; BSN preferred
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility (no locals accepted)
