We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a contract assignment in a Skilled Nursing Facility. The PTA will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to help residents improve mobility, strength, and functional independence through individualized therapy programs.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, and functional mobility activities
- Monitor patient response to treatment and report progress or changes
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safe mobility techniques
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility standards
- Ensure patient safety and compliance with rehabilitation protocols
- Active state Physical Therapy Assistant license (must be current)
- Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills
- Minimum experience: less than 1 year (new graduates encouraged to apply)
- No holiday coverage required
- Bilingual skills not required
