We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Senior Accountant - Income Tax, to join our vibrant team in the Accounting + Finance industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual with a proven track record in managing multiple tasks and deadlines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling all aspects of income tax, including tax review, federal and state tax, corporations, and income tax. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Senior Accountant - Income Tax, you will be:
1. Responsible for the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns and estimates, and the analysis of resulting tax liabilities.
2. Managing and coordinating tax audits.
3. Keeping up-to-date with changes in federal and state tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
4. Assisting with tax planning and research projects, including the evaluation of new tax laws and their impact on the company.
5. Providing support to the accounting team during the financial closing process.
6. Reviewing and analyzing financial data for tax accounting and compliance purposes.
7. Providing support to the finance team in the preparation and review of financial statements and reports.
8. Assisting in the development and implementation of tax strategies to minimize the company's tax liabilities and risks.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Senior Accountant - Income Tax position, you must:
1. Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or Master’s degree in Taxation is highly desirable.
2. Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in income tax accounting and compliance, with a focus on corporate taxation.
3. Possess in-depth knowledge of federal and state income tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
4. Have a strong understanding of tax accounting principles and procedures.
5. Be proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
6. Have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
7. Be able to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
8. Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex tax information clearly and effectively to non-tax professionals.
9. Be detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality.
