Position Overview:
The VA Medical Center in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Board Certified Interventional Radiologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess an unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory and have a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, excluding residency. This position offers a unique opportunity to serve our nation s veterans, utilizing advanced imaging techniques and interventional procedures to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of interventional radiology procedures including:
- Angiography and Balloon angioplasty/stent placement
- Cryoablation and Radiofrequency ablation
- Chemoembolization and Embolization
- Thrombolysis, TIPS placement, and IVC filters
- Line insertion, Drain insertions, and Nephrostomy placement
- Cholecystostomy, Biliary interventions, and Dialysis access
- Biopsy, Radiologically inserted gastrostomy, and Endovenous laser ablation
- Vertebroplasty/Kyphoplasty
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized patient treatment plans.
- Use state-of-the-art imaging technology and equipment to perform minimally invasive procedures.
- Interpret diagnostic images and provide consultative expertise.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical protocols and processes within the radiology department.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Radiology by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience (excluding residency).
- Unrestricted medical license with no recent disciplinary actions (any U.S. state or territory).
- Proficiency in performing a wide range of interventional radiology procedures.
- Strong knowledge of interventional radiology equipment and software.
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced interventional radiology techniques.
