Academic OB/GYN Faculty Physician

A respected academic medical institution in, MI is seeking a full-time, Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN to join its faculty team.
This role offers a balanced mix of clinical practice, education, and research within a mission-driven academic environment serving a diverse and underserved patient population.
Full-time OB/GYN Faculty position
Academic appointment with teaching and research responsibilities
Practice in a collaborative, multidisciplinary academic setting
Serve a diverse patient population, including medically underserved and low-income communities
Maintain staff privileges at all affiliated hospitals and facilities
Provide inpatient and outpatient OB/GYN care
Participate in attending rounds and academic work rounds
Provide call coverage per OB/GYN on-call schedule (includes nights, weekends, and holidays)
Supervise residents and medical students in clinic, outpatient procedures, and inpatient settings
Evaluate resident and student performance in accordance with ACGME standards
Maintain an independent clinical practice as assigned
Actively contribute to departmental research initiatives
Average of one day per month dedicated to scholarly activity
Activities may include:
Regional or national presentations
Research mentoring
Peer-reviewed publications (ACGME requirement)
Prior research experience and strong interest in research are required
Assist with planning and implementation of residency education programs
Participate in curriculum development and annual conference planning
Deliver lectures at Grand Rounds and routine academic conferences
Evaluate residents throughout all phases of training
Participate in clerkship student conferences during each rotation
Participate in departmental leadership roles as appropriate
Potential involvement in medical directorships and administrative initiatives
MD or DO
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
Michigan medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
Controlled Substance License (or eligibility)
Meets institutional credentialing requirements
Prior leadership, teaching, or academic experience preferred
