Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring an active CA RN license, BLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation certification.
Responsibilities
- Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit
- Work schedule is 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 13-week assignment duration
- Utilizes Epic EMR
- Provide nursing care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and recovery
- Support high-risk OB cases as needed
- Team structure includes collaboration with OB/GYNs, neonatologists, and other support staff
- Position requires compliance with hospital dress code and vaccination requirements
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- Per policy, travelers may not exceed two years of employment without a 90-day break
Requirements
- Active California RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time Labor & Delivery experience
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current BLS and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required
- Preferred qualifications include a BSN and five or more years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- High-risk OB experience within the last two years preferred
- All licenses and certifications must be active at time of consideration
- Last 4 digits of SSN and DOB required for consideration
