The Radiology Physician role involves delivering specialized interventional and diagnostic radiology services, with a clinical focus of 75% interventional and 25% diagnostic procedures. The physician will work in an academic setting providing high-quality patient care, teaching, and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows. The position requires board certification or eligibility and participation in scholarly and quality improvement activities.
We are seeking a skilled andmotivated Interventional Radiology Physician to join our growing academicradiology team in Eastern West Virginia. This position offers a balancedpractice model with a strong focus on interventional procedures whilemaintaining involvement in diagnostic imaging, combined with meaningfulteaching opportunities in an academic environment.
The successful candidatewill practice in both Interventional and Diagnostic Radiology, with anapproximate clinical distribution of 75% Interventional Radiology and 25%Diagnostic Radiology. In addition to providing high-quality patient care, thephysician will play an active role in the education and mentorship of medicalstudents, residents, and fellows.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive Interventional Radiology services, including image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Perform Diagnostic Radiology interpretations as part of the clinical practice (25%).
- Deliver patient-centered, high-quality radiologic care in an academic clinical setting.
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows across clinical and procedural settings.
- Participate in scholarly activity, quality improvement, and academic service as appropriate.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to support optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency program.
- Completion of an accredited Interventional Radiology fellowship program.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Radiology.
- Eligible for or able to obtain an unrestricted medical license in the State of West Virginia.
