Starting 03/09/2026, this role requires coverage of 3-24 hour shifts per pay period, with occasional 12-hour shifts. The physician will be responsible for managing both emergency department patients and inpatients at MercyOne Dyersville Medical Center, a Critical Access Hospital. Duties include handling ED patients and inpatients, utilizing the TogetherCare (EPIC) EMR system. Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide emergency medical care to patients

• Manage inpatient care for patients daily (observation, acute, and swing bed)

• Work 24-hour shifts with in-house coverage (provider sleep room available)

• Utilize TogetherCare (EPIC) EMR system for patient documentation

• Collaborate with nursing staff

• Oversee care in an Emergency Department and medical-surgical department

• Coordinate with laboratory, radiology, rehabilitation, infusion, and ambulatory surgery services

• Adapt to the needs of a Critical Access Hospital setting

• Maintain high standards of patient care and safety

Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice in Iowa

• Experience with EPIC EMR system preferred

• Comfortable with both emergency and inpatient responsibilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
